My client is currently looking to appoint a number of experienced Machinists at their offices in Aberdeen, Scotland. The positions would commence immediately on a temp to perm basis.

We are looking for candidates that are prepared to relocate to Aberdeen or live within commutable distance. £1,000 relocation fee available after completion of probation period.

Candidates must have experience with CNC machine controls such as Philips.

Responsibilities: 
 
Ability to operate & handle materials and tools in a safe manner
Program, Set up and operate a wide variety of special purpose & conventional CNC and Semi NC machine tools
Reads and interprets engineering blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished work piece, sequence of operations tooling programming and setup requirements.
Provides support, coaching and mentoring to others in the team based environment, contributing fully to team development and participation.
Adheres to and promotes Housekeeping requirements, Safety Processes & Risk assessments & maintains a safe and clean working environment throughout the facility.
Ability to assist the training new team members.
Any Other Duties as Required 
 
Experience required:
 
Competent in the setting and operation of the majority of conventional and/or CNC Lathes / CNC Mills.
Capable of programming components on machine controls (Fanuc; Mazatrol; Philips; Hiedenhain).
Ability to coach and train others within a manufacturing environment
Ability to recognize, solve & implement required changes for machining related problems.
Ability to work in a team and use own initiative
skilled in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including e-mail
