Great opportunity to join the L&D team at an award winning provider to the security sector.

We are seeking a passionate training specialist with the ability to design and deliver engaging content in a people focused environment. The role will also focus on delivering site specific security training, undertaking an in-depth skills gap analysis of security staff, coaching and supporting new managers through continuous development, managing projects and leading change programmes.

Applicants should have a passion for training and development and proven experience of delivering Security Training courses and currently hold the relevant qualifications (detailed below).


  • Undertake a comprehensive skills gap analysis of existing staff
  • Delivering training presentations via PowerPoint
  • Work closely with clients to identify training needs and requirements at external sites
  • Develop a pro-active training ethos within the business and champion continued improvement within staff training
  • Implement the coaching strategy for the business
  • Working with stakeholders to Identify coaching development needs across sites
  • Deliver effective learning solutions
  • Design and deliver training sessions
  • Maintain and develop training sessions tailored to the clients needs
  • Ensure that all training content is up to date and accurate
  • Drive performance improvement and talent development
  • Manage a group of c.15 delegates in a classroom environment such as induction and upskill sessions, ensuring that they are motivated, engaged, behave to the required standards and receive the appropriate training solutions
  • Provide tailored operational coaching support, in order to drive and support the achievement of operational KPIs
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions
  • Regularly review scorecards/KPI’s, ensuring learning solutions are focused on driving maximum business performance
  • Maintain an up to date personal development plan, including a current, detailed knowledge of L&D methodology and practices.

Experience required:

  • Holds an industry specific qualification such as PTLLS, CTLLS or DTLSS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • A valid SIA License is preferred but not essential
  • Experience operating in the security sector
  • Proven track record of delivering training to an adult workforce
  • Proven track record of delivering security specific training courses
  • Experience of delivering coaching/training to Managers/Team Leaders
  • Experience of delivering L&D in a fast paced business environment
